This book is so smart and it’s taking me forever to read. But everything is connected and it all goes back to the Enlightenment / Romantic era. I’ve always had issues with a lot of Romantic era literature and now I have support lol

I’m enjoying this, but this book is way smarter than me

I’ve never actually really researched England during WWII (other than Narnia) or Churchill’s personal life, so this has been interesting. I like how Larson is going back and forth between Germany and England so you have all the context.

This book had me instantly hooked. From the writing to the whimsy I am loving this so far. I also love Holland, she’s such a great main character.

I have loved studying the history of language and how it changes, so I’m really enjoying C.S. Lewis’ thoughts on it.

I’m just so confused😭
