Less than 5 days to finish my April TBR... I don't think I'll make it. XD My goal will be to finish current blue-cover books: CWC: Savior Complex, A Midnight Hope, and Winter's Maiden..maybe. I'm thinking I'll pause WM for a few months until I can get to where I can read that level of NA again. :)

I also want to read through a poetry book I have; it's short, so it should be quick. :D

Car Alarm was good, but I was distracted while reading it. Not sure I enjoyed it as much as I could have. Will probably pause reading CWC until next week when I can focus better. :D I'm really happy with the depth of the characters, story, and themes, and I want to be able to appreciate the work the author put into this story. For now, I'll be reading A Midnight Hope and be...hoping...it's a lighter read. ;P

Hoping this is an all-around light read. My two mains are heavier/more impactful, which is slowing me down. But we'll see!

Accidentally rated this before finishing, so the stars may be adjusted when I'm done. We'll see. It's a great collection, though, and deserves a high rating! <3

Marking each episode as I read to keep up some reading motivation (and I think it counts since the episodes were released as their own ebooks). I'll rate and review each and have a summary review for Season 1.

I'm getting a fresh start on reading the series. I don't quite remember when I signed up to follow the serial (I think before season 2 started.)... I've got quite a bit to catch up on, in any case. Excited to get to know the gang!

Aw, Tree-Ear... I'm really enjoying this book.

Hm. Not what I was expecting, but interesting. Thanks to a long car ride, I was able to get a good chunk read / listened to! (The audiobook narrator almost sounds like Urbosa from BotW, haha.)

This book will never fail to make me cry. <3

Making some progress! I really like Crane-man and Tree-ear's relationship. Crane-man is such a kind guardian!

Oh, Andi... On this reread, I'm especially appreciating all the red-shirts (those injured in the line of duty). Poor dudes getting beat up for their loyalty. <3

Did I make backwards progress? Yes... I don't know how I got the percentages messed up. I'm still poking my way through this book. It's fun when I sit down to read it. I just can't seem to read it for very long at a time.

I really like the writing style. It feels old and fitting.

Listening to the audiobook that is narrated by the author. I love hearing the different voices she has for her characters.

Just 102 pages left. XD

Returning to this read after a short slump. I like how slow reading this is, but I also wish I could finish it sooner. XD

Just picked this up at the library. It's a curious story.

I'm finding graphic novels to be really fun. It's a low-commitment way to enjoy classics (and other stories), which is what I need as a non-book-dragon. (:

Audiobook makes this a whole lot more enjoyable. In high school, I focused far too much on how annoying Mrs. Bennet, Mr. Collins, and the younger girls were.

BUT I am enjoying this more with a narrator who can deliver the heart of the book, the tones of the characters, and a proper interpretation of the language style. And I'm more mature now, so that is helping me actually appreciate the book for what it is. :)

On the verge of a reading slump, so it's been slow going...but this is a really cute book. Would be a nice read-aloud for elementary ages. There are very clear life lessons presented, but not in an annoying way even for me as a new adult.

This has been an enjoyable story, even without the context of the rest of the series. Sarah has grown on me, for sure. She's still sometimes silly, but believably so. I relate a lot to her and Evelyn. <3

I also enjoy the fact that, while Evelyn is a fighter, it's not all "girl boss" style in presentation. She simply is a warrior who wants to *earn* respect.

I think I'd be quite happy to read the rest of the series.

Trying to "catch up" on my reading goal, and I found this short story in my kindle library. It's cute!

Making progress!

What a fine afternoon for reading. It's magical when you're reading a book about a breezy island on your bed, while your own windows are open and a nice breeze is filtering through the windows. ...It's also weird that it's as hot as it is in February, but it was still very nice.

Candle Island is a perfect mid-spring or early-summer read, I think. Or in my case, mid-winter. XP
