This has been an enjoyable story, even without the context of the rest of the series. Sarah has grown on me, for sure. She's still sometimes silly, but believably so. I relate a lot to her and Evelyn. <3
I also enjoy the fact that, while Evelyn is a fighter, it's not all "girl boss" style in presentation. She simply is a warrior who wants to *earn* respect.
I think I'd be quite happy to read the rest of the series.

Hehe, I probably should have researched the series before jumping into the middle of everything? But I wanted something short to listen to while working on chores, so here I am. I like Evelyn. Sarah is funny, but I definitely like Evelyn more.
