Kara is a weak willed asshole. If she’d truly cared for Hayden, she wouldn’t have allowed hawk and the MC to disrespect him the way they did. He didn’t deserve that. She also willingly ceded control of her child to EVERYONE. WTF. She essentially abandoned he maternal responsibilities for dick.

Hawk is trash. The way War and the MC was characterized also makes them look like trash. There’s nothing I hate more than the overbearing alpha hole persona. Additionally, Hawk was a closeted homophobe.

Hayden deserved better.

Jessica is a loser.

Jessica is a loser.

Lydia is an idiot with no self preservational instincts.
Trauma or no, she made the wrong choices with regard to her safety at every turn.

Minus additional stars for Maeve York. Unfortunately, I’ve gotten tired of the flippant narration style. It makes listening to the poor life choices more irritating. Listening to her randomly mispronounce common words doesn’t help either.

I’m really sick and tired of so called authors romanticizing misogyny and abuse by calling it “bully romance” or “enemies to lovers”.

I’m also over the pretend strong, feisty Mary Sues that NEVER stand up for themselves when they are actually being mistreated.

Get some freaking THERAPY.

Currently listening to the audiobook. Minus 1 star for the atrocious acting and vocal quality of the narrators.

FMC is TSTL and unlikable. I wanted to be on her side because she stands up for herself against bullies. However, she’s so prideful she constantly makes dumb choices.

The MMCs are no better. I do appreciate that they aren’t the bullies, they’re just obnoxiously entitled.

@ 33% into the audio book I’m considering moving this author to my DNR list.

The writing is extremely juvenile.

Even worse the author booked painfully abysmal narrators.
