It’s precious. 🥹🩷 Gatsby bought that house for her… bought all that stuff to impress her… and made friends with all those people in the hopes of finding someone who could reintroduce them. He really loves her. ❤️

I can appreciate that the author didn’t want to be a cliche and repetitive by writing Gatsby said and Daisy whispered.. but I can’t keep up. I just spent half a chapter so confused because I thought Nick was talking about Daisy (his cousin) like a stranger and then said he was her bridesmaid.. I was very impressed with the forward thinking, but alas it was actually Jordan talking the whole time… 😅😭

I’m starting to remember why I didn’t like this book..

First, it’s slow. He goes into such detail about things that are frivolous.

Second, I was in high school and didn’t catch onto the nuances. “And so I pulled her in again, this time to my face.” That’s a pretty fancy way to say you kissed her. 🤣

Third, and which I’m still struggling, I could never figure out who was speaking.

I do really like the way the author writes some things like the hair luxuriating in the nostril and the dead man passed them in a hearse.

Ok, I do appreciate that he is ending his relationship back home before getting with Jordan… and I like him and Jordan for a fling.
I hate her driving remarks though… like girlllll you cannot be a careless driver and then say you hate careless people. Do you hate yourself?

“It made no difference to me. Dishonesty in a woman is something you never blame deeply. I was casually sorry and then I forgot.”

I don’t know if I’m offended or happy about that…

I like Jordan. She doesn’t like rumors, she wants facts.

“Who is he? Now, you’ve started on the subject.” 🤣
“There isn’t privacy at small parties.”
“He told me once he was an Oxford man.. but I don’t believe he went there..”

Hahaha aweeee poor Walker.. Ari stop picking on the poor boy! 🥹🤣🩷 he’s so precious. I love him! 🥹🩷 Ari learned some tricks from Lincoln… I hate them putting attention on the girls during games. 😅😭 that’d be a no for me 😭😭
I love the roommate! She seems very genuine and kind.. and fiery 🔥🥹🩷 maybe a good match for Walker

Maximilian 5000 was it??! 🤣🤣 Layla sure will have her hands full with that one 🤣 but I love how awkward he is with her 🥹🩷

I freaking love Ari and Link’s friendship!! 🥹🖤🤣 Ari is such the goofball but loyal baby brother 🥹🖤🖤 I don’t quite think that Link would say all those things about Ari, but I love that he knows Link means them 🥹🖤🩷
And yes, Lincoln’s advice will always be kidnap the girl… we learned that the hard way 😅🤣

I already love Walker 🥹🩷 you can tell he’s gonna join Ari and Lincoln and have a book later 🤭

Ari correcting himself and calling her Blake 🥹 little do you know she’s gonna LOVE that you remember who she was before becoming Blake 🥹🩷

Ok, THANK GOD!! I was so sad that Ari was leaving his team in Detroit and Lincoln, but it’s only for a year! 👏🏻👏🏻 that call between Ari and Lincoln was so precious… he’s Ari’s person 🥹🩷 the fact that we called Lincoln when he was sad and stressed 🥹🩷 and all this for his “soulmate and dream girl” that he met as kids 🥹🩷🖤

I really like how the author is ending each of the chapters… they’re ending very reflectively, almost like we are in a debate/conversation. And I love her imagery, but I knew that from the first book.

lol that made me think of champagne problems.. never know what you’ll say till his on his knees and asks you.

Gosh, it’s no wonder she struggles with her identity.. she wasn’t a baby.. that would’ve been bad enough, but this was a full child.

Now I understand the Layla (cross off) Blake 😭😭

I will say.. I can see where her insecurities come from.. it’d be hard to go from nothing to posh, upper class living and an adoptive mother who expected you to fit in there where you don’t feel you belong.

I feel you girl with the anxiety pills 🤣

So I take it the adoption is what kept them away from each other.. but his clearly knows where she is now because he’s going to follow her to LA.. is that party she’s going to with her boyfriend the party Monroe went to after the hockey game???

Ughhh I don’t think I’m gonna like this one quite as much because I hate when people, especially women, are that insecure that they don’t see their worth or their beauty at all. I wonder where the scars on her hips are from… did her dad attack her too? Or were they from after the adoption?

Now that is the perfect way to end the first chapter 👏🏻👏🏻

His vibrant green eyes sparkled with mischief… yeah that’s Ari alright 🤣🥹🩷🖤💚

And I bet he protects her in the group home but then she disappears and he losses contact with her 🥹🩷 but now he’s found her 🥹🖤

Him helping her through a panic attack as a first meeting is precious and heartbreaking cause you can tell he knows the feeling 😭

And his nickname Angel 🥹🩷

I was really curious how this would go down because I didn’t get the feeling that Ari would abandon his team and Lincoln for some girl he fell for within a short time… but if he’s loved her since they were in a group home together I’m gonna cry 🥹🥹🩷🖤

SUCH A GREAT BOOK! Probably top 10.. if not top 5 all time. To shock me is no small feet, and the writing on top of all that is stunning. The imagery and words chosen is top tier. And there’s even a little spice and romances for me. Hehehe 🤭🩷

That is one of those things that this book will never reread the same way because I’ll never be able to read that again for the first time. And I truly have not been able to predict how this book will end or these characters next actions. I predicted what happened in the past and that Cole was orchestrating something.. but I’m constantly shocked.

…. 😭😭😭 I had forgotten about Cole punching (and kicking I’m pretty sure) Taylor in the stomach to try to force her to miscarry HIS child.. 😡🤬😤😭🥺 oh my gosh.. when I tell you.. I SLAMMED that book shut and paced. I knew he was crazy, but I wasn’t prepared. I was STRESSED. 😫 he’s so unpredictable.

Like I hope it gets figured out and turned around before Rika’s love and fascination for them turns sour and before Michael gets betrayed by Will, Damon, and Kai 🥺 I’ll sob if that happens 😫🥺😭😭😭

I genuinely bet Trevor saw them together 3 years ago and turned them in… but their parents got Michael out

And all this to say.. she LIKES them 🥺😭😭😭 which just makes it SO much worse… like not only does she have this intense longing for Michael, but she was fascinated and in awe of the whole group! And now they’re just playing her.. waiting for their time to pounce. 😭
I really hope this all gets fixed before too much goes down 🥺
