I think I’ve been scammed by the synopsis again. Plus, the dialogue between the characters feels a bit forced, like it’s trying too hard to read like a historical fiction novel. I have a bad feeling about this. Spent more than fifty thousand IDR in this economy for absolutely nothing engaging.

Now they are more focusing on the mystery how to find the jewels owned by the lady who commissioned Elizabeth and the MC romance. For real this book really out of its synopsis 😅

Halfway through and there’s hardly a hint of mystery aspect as it was promised in the blurb. I think this one's will be a damp squib.

I cannot help but curse Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick’s mischievous and sly behaviour, even bartering his daughters’ happiness and their very lives for his triumph upon the throne

I reckon it feels more like a fictionalised autobiography of the author, to be honest. I feel like I've been well and truly scammed by this book.

God the LFC too much on her denial phase. Half of the story instead of focus on the investigation, it's more focus to her denial stage of grief 🙄💀

I am a mere fifth of the way through this work, yet each subsequent page brings a fresh sense of shock. I find the progression of the mystery quite captivating and am eager to see how the plot is resolved. Alice Feeney is quite simply an incomparable force in thriller fiction 😭🙏🏻
