Oh my heart 💔💔😭😭😭

It’s not starting out well for me. The author drops every “g” to create the character’s southern twang. It’s way too much. I lived in the south and this type of forced accent drives me crazy. Ex: workin’ teachin’ runnin’ offerin’ trainin’ goin’. Hello - people in the South can use a “g” - even with a strong twang!! 😠

I LOVED the prologue. The idea of Santa playing matchmaker is awesome. I’m really looking forward to reading the stories. 🎅❤️

I am loving Gabriel Blackburn. This former Army Ranger / CEO is seriously swoon worthy! 🥰🥰

I just looked at the page count. 😳 😳. A 520 page slow burn? Yikes!!😬

Not sure why I waited so long to start this book, but I'm enjoying the characters and their wit and humor.

Oh man.....Wesmie’s wedding. ❤️❤️ And Wes tearing up 😢 at the wedding and getting emotional......Gah!!!! I LOVE these two. 💞

Ok....now I’m sure J-Babe and Blake will take the spotlight. Looking forward to more of them.

I love Jamie and Wes 💘. They’ve had some struggles in this book but they’ve had some really good times too. And damn.....they can burn up the sheets 🔥 😁

Ok...it bothered me in the blurb and it bothers me as I'm reading the book. Nick is NOT the "soon to be brother in law". Grace's brother is marrying Nick's sister. So technically Nick is Grace's "soon to be sister in law's" brother. There's a big difference. Ugh!! 😕

"when I get on that plane for home, I’ll be saying goodbye to my dad forever”

No! No! No! No! No! No!
I said these exact words in April. I don't think I'm ready to read this section of the book. 😭😭

Opinions....
I sometimes struggle with how to rate a book when the writing is spectacular but I’m disappointed with the intentional direction the author took a character or the plot. How do you rate when you are dissatisfied with the author’s “ideas” but not the execution of the story.

I need to write some reviews, but I don’t want to. I want to read.
I got so many great books from a recent book exchange so the reviews will just have to wait a little longer ☺️

It’s not as captivating as I thought it was going to be. A large chunk of the first half of the book was just mundane everyday life viewed through the lens of the other girl (I think). Anyway....I’ve been skipping some, unfortunately.

Well, as September nears an end, my goal to focus only on my TBR proved successful as I knocked off about 15 books. Woo hoo. 🍾🎉

I’m going to spend September knocking out books for my various 2020 challenges. So....not as many buddy reads this month.

Finished part 1. I don't mind a book where the MC's have history shared with someone else in a "Part 1" type story. Most of us have other relationships before we truly find "the one", so it works for me.
So far I like both characters and their few "collisions" have been during an accident, so a bit heart-tugging.

I’m finally tackling the oldest book on my TBR shelf. Go me!! 😁

Very slow burn, but it works for this story. Still really enjoying Beyah and Samson’s journey

😴 I’m bored to tears. Too much inner dialogue, nothing happening, I’m not connecting with the characters or the humor. I’m in the minority but this is perilously close to a DNF for me.

I’m enjoying Pax and Leah. The semester at sea setting coupled with a 5 time X Games medalist is not the norm. So, a little originality.....I like it :)
