The story is very interesting. I like the way it was narrated through letters from different POV but man, the depiction of animal cruelty & abuse is so graphic and disturbing, I need a break for a moment bcus the heinous acts are just too much especially its from a literal child psychopath POV 🥲

Blowfish was mesmerizing. Am reading this at the moment and i like the quietness of the book, the silent desperation of our main character, a young sculptor wishing to die by ingesting the poisonous blowfish while an architect suffering from grief of losing his brother to suicide is in the mifst of internal crisis of not knowing why he is attracted to this woman.

This book does take time to read bcus of how the narrative is structured. It moves flittingly with no boundaries of whether its a dialogue or monologue, a thought in the past or future, a mixed style of writing that is different from Tsushima's other works yet there is similarities. I do wished i have a physical copy so I can highlight the book as much as I can

Its getting really good! I like the parallel world we have in here - Hardboiled wonderland was filled with scientific research, data, mystery on the research while End of the World is the quiet, reserved story of the town with mundane life. The contrast of the two and the possible connections between them is getting more interesting!!
