trying to ration the rest of this bc i never want it to end

i’m finding it really difficult to want to continue this just bc nothing is happening and i’ve never done well with books like that…virginia woolf is a beautiful writer but i’m 10 pages from DNFing this if it doesn’t start to pick up soon

Cal has become a favorite of mine! When you look past the hard exterior he’s put up, he’s rather bashful and sweet. He craves affection and loves his family to pieces. I appreciate the theme of Timshel spread throughout the story. I believe Cal is the one who needed it the most. God bless you Lee! Im really rooting for the brothers…hope nothing bad happens to them hahahahahaaaaaaa

it just keeps getting better!! i’m starting to appreciate cathy/kate a lot more now. she’s pure evil without reason to be. brilliant, calculating, and worst of all, patient. such a good depiction of a sociopath, i almost love her. after all that, it felt nice to see adam again. samuel really beat the sense back into him, what a guy. i find that he and lee have the most insightful ideas. (hello aaron and caleb!)

the description of our cathy keeps getting more and more demonic and unsettling. it’s crazy how someone like samuel, who tends to see the good in others, immediately clocks that something is off with this woman. steinbeck has such a way with words brrr im afraid of what’s to come
