I hate when main characters make obviously wrong decisions. Lots of anticipation with lackluster finish

All of this book so for has been exposition. This wouldn’t be so bad if we had some varied views. I wish Gideon’s pov were longer or happened more than twice. At least Finn is a likeable Fmc. Patient and understanding.

I’d give both these book a 3.5 but i rounded up. I know the conflict isn’t fully resolved but I feel like I could end the series here. I’ll def read the next one though when it releases. Also I don’t really care what happened to her friends that worked at the tavern.

The whole first half was about fixing one mistake Val made. And if i have to hear about Cillian one more time…

Was alr i could see the potential but then she met the king… misunderstood tyrant king who the fmc hates but is attracted to but hates but loves. That storyline is unenjoyable given me 2nd hand embarrassment and irritating me. So im dropping it. The lesbian bff and her love interest were looking good tho

Age gap i think (7-10) years not my fav. But as long as he dint say some creepy shit about her age illl overlook it

Almost 5 star but the ending fell flat. All the problems were solved with no consequences. Ik theyll be expanded on in the later books but idk. The description made it sound like a miscommunication trope where all the progress made in the character relationship will be reversed. It was rlly long but i liked that bc i prefer character interactions over plot moving.

This was a 5 star book. But now that Singer is dead 4 stars. He was my baby. And i dont rlly get the point of killing a dog that felt like an afterthought. Maybe it’ll help her inlock some power but idc

Everything the Cisco & Raf do is contradicting their previous acts. Cisco worsens her mental health but actually he’s helping her in his mind but he doesn’t care whether she lives or dies(as long as she doesnt kill herself). Raf treats her like shit & puts her in danger yet criticizes others for doing the same. I get theyre supposed to be complex characters but it reads as poor storylines
