Not sure it’s more tolerable writing style this way in or if I’m just invested in how these two get back together.

12% into the book. I want to like this because I think the concept is interested but holy shit this writing is drag. It’s very try-hard purple prose. And I’m all for float language but this is too much and it doesn’t really fit with the tone of the book?

I wanna keep reading so I know the plot but I’m aggravated with every meandering music metaphor that’s dropped into on each page.

Not really enjoying this book. The premise was interesting but these characters are so unlikable.

I always come back to this book when I’m feeling down. It’s such a lovely story.
