Okay, I’ll give it this: the “then” scenes are cute. The “now” scenes would be cute too if they were together

This book being nearly 500 pages long is crazy work

The entire book so far: “The guy I’m with lowkey sucks, but I couldn’t possibly break things off with him to be with the man I love”

Can’t lie, I skimmed through the book to find when they’re actually together, and to nobody’s surprise, it isn’t for another 200 pages. They’re literally already in love, what could you possibly shove into 200 more pages before getting back together

Idk if I can go to another book with the main couple in relationships with other people already back-to-back

So far, I’m feeling like this girl is dumb af so I hope that changes 😭

This book makes me tear up anytime the dad does something nice. Growing up with a bipolar dad, it hits so close to home 💔

Rereading

Had no idea what this book was about (only bought it over a year ago because it was on the NYT readers top 100 list), so imagine my surprise seeing the first words of the book: “This story is not about Mormonism.”

Rereading to give myself life

This has been in my TBR since it came out, and I can’t believe I haven’t read this sooner??

I still need to read 8 more books, but I’m losing steam (and I’m tired of staying up until 2am every night reading lmao)

I’m feeling confident, just based on the blurb, that I won’t enjoy this.
