I don't like this woman. She seems incapable of learning from her mistakes.

Are you for real? She's ruined! There's no coming back, and she should know that! But the author apparently doesn't, so here we are.

They had time to get naked, have sex (with screams!) and cuddle, then redress, and nobody went searching for her? Even if he only lasted like a minute, just taking their clothes off would have taken a while, let alone putting them back on. ARGH!

You think? She ran out crying in the middle of a dance, and her father was there, her friends were there!

And now they're cuddling? After she screamed while they were having sex in a another person's house with a party going on? Seriously? Again, this is not the 21st century, for chrissake! It's supposed to be a Regency romance! Argh!

What do you mean they're having sex in another person's house, in someone's bed, while a ball is taking place in said house, and nobody has come looking for them? It's not the 21st century! Argh!

I wasn't aware Jenny was from Nepal (it's sarcasm. She most certainly isn't).

It's discouraging to see this would probably not pass the Bechdel test. The only woman-to-woman interaction and they're talking sex and boys. It feels jarring in a fantasy of manners.

Well, that was a filler chapter if I ever read one. A pointless flashback that didn't need to exist.

I really, really don't like Beau. Thanks God he is not the protagonist, or I'd DNF. It's bad enough I have to hear about him at all.

I wonder how many hands does this guy have. At least four, with all the tings he can do at the same time with them. He hasn't been described beyond his "mane of wild hair" and that he seems unkempt. I've been picturing a homeless man. Not particularly sexy.

I don't know how far along the pregnancy is, but she's not showing yet, and she can already feel the baby kicking? I have been pregnant before, and I know that you start to show around week 12 (considering she's oh, so thin and tiny) but you can't feel the baby kick until around week 16-20. If she's not showhing, there's no way she can feel it kicking. Dear authors, please do the minimum amount of research.

She just mentioned she's a shifter. For the whole book she's refered to herself as human. Make it make sense. Also, she doesn't believe in her friend's clairvoyance. she rolls her eyes when the woman reads the Tarot cards for her. One would think a shifter would be more open-minded than that.

So the is woman tells her if she wants to read books about history. But they are written by wolves. I wouldn't trust history written by a cult.

This initiation makes no fuckin' sense. No matter how much mental gymnastics the author does to justify it, there's no need for the cult leader (sorry, "Alpha") to have sex with every female. I don't know what happens if the girls are born in the pack, but more likely they have to have sex with this guy, because that's how cults work. Everyone is completely brainwashed, and this didn't have to be written like this.

She keeps calling this guy a "skinner" as if that's explanation enough. It's not. Granter, i can understand the powers associated with that, even though it's not explained either. But not Skinner, not without any context. And the author keeps adding elements with no introductions as if the reader already knows what they mean.

How many people are at this party? ten? It feels so empty.

God, every time Lord "DuPont" and Lord "Armory" are mentioned I cringe. I might DNF based solely on this.

What is the point of making a guest a "must" if the two are arrivign separately? Who's gonna know if someone arrived without a guest? Or if someone crashes the party, since they can just say "Oh, I'm a guest", because they don't have to be with whoever invited them? This was only to force fMC to attend the party, and the author didn't think beyond that.

I'm pretty sure that whoever said "age up your characters" didn't mean "have them look older and sexualize the hell out of them while still being teenagers". I think this is the last straw.

How many former queens are there? I thought only the grandmother? Or is there another kingdom? There's mention of another queen of -some color- light as opposed to the Cerulean light kingdom the fMC is princess of, but I have absolutely no idea how this world works at all. This seems a lot of nothing except dramatic overreactions to the lightest insult.

Sometime it seems the portals are sentient and send people "where they need" (whatever that means), but sometimes she talks as if the portals have some fixed location. Which is it? How can it be both? Who made the portals? What the hell do you mean by "The Old World"? So many questions! I would expect some answers by now, we're in chapter two! Especially because this is basic worldbuilding stuff.

I'm super confused. There's talk of portals and pockets, but nothing is explained. There's also gangs, but that I understand. Except I have no idea why the "Shades" want her. Also, the name "Shades", with absolutely no explanation, brings to mind the world of "Shades of Sin" by Colette Rhodes, so that plus gangs is causing some cognitive disonance I don't care about. I might DNF

Well, it didn't take long for her to flirt back. Now she invited him for lunch.

And of course he's flirting, and of course she likes it, and doesn't stop him. She hasn't started flirting back, but it's a matter of time. But she's already comparing boyfriend to this guy she just met.

Of course she complains about the "workaholic" boyfriend to the MMC, and of course he calls him a "dumbass", because that's how cheating starts. Anyway... I don't like these people.
