One Lynsay's better Highlander Bride works, and very tropey, but in the best way possible.

Fan fiction feels of OCs. It's a little slow with it's it's day day dialogue and narrative, not as spicy as I was hoping. I'm glad there's an importance on consent and people feeling ready for intimacy, but it just feels like it drags on a little.

It's enjoyable, it's just.... Basic. I've read better fanfiction.

Good strong world building, strong characters so far, definitely love the main two, Izra is so devoted to his role, Radek just reminds me of Dorian from DA3

Strong voice so far, good world build, interesting mythology lore

It's good at building up security and then tearing it up and then building it up to tear it all up again. Don't know how it ends but I hope it's happy because I can't stop thinking about it.

You know the feeling of reading a fanfic? It's that just with original characters. That may not make sense because aren't all fiction novels fanfics about the writers characters? Yes. And no. This has the distinct vibe of reading a fanfic. The setting, the voice, the fluff, the smut. Distinctly fanfiction-y. It just reverberates with that mood.
