god i forgot he's funny. it's wild to have a narrator that's funny on purpose again, after Summer Sons (in which Andrew is extremely funny on accident i'm so sorry man) and Nearshore (in which Palmer is insane but not particularly witty nor pathetic enough for me to pity laugh)

haha yeah that's why i stopped at the end of ch26 and put off continuing again. i am in some ways glad i'm reading this now instead of when i was 22/23 because it doesn't seem like a lot has changed since then but the difference between reading this at Andrew's age vs (probably) Sam's age is giving me a different lens to view the story from, but i also wish i'd been able to read it for the first time back then
