They’re so cute and so silly

I really love that these books are Rathe suffering horribly half the time and Eslingen being stuffed haphazardly into a comedy the other half, they’re perfect for each other

These books are so refreshingly short

actually i'll continue the Astreiant series, those have low stakes while still having stakes enough for me to bother reading them that i can probably read them rn without losing my mind about it, and it's a lot easier to continue a series i've already started (that isn't Will of the Many/Strength of the Few because i really need to reread Will of the Many before i can even consider starting Strength of the Few rip)

also i promise i will absolutely read a new book again eventually but i am really not capable of making decisions right now and my almost 300 book long tbr is wayyyy too intimidating to pick from with my current life situation, doubly so after finishing Wheel of Wrath, so. Luck in the Shadows it is!

Begging anyone who intends to read the Fifth Realm books to read both that are currently out before touching my review of Wheel of Wrath because I think at the end of the day it’s really worth it! The spoiler-free version is Wheel of Wrath left me with some complicated feelings and it didn’t quite live up to Spin of Fate, but I think it might do more for others than it did for me

Being torturously reminded this is a YA book

I think my biggest problem with this book is that the characters have changed in ways that aren’t believable to me for the most part, except Meizan, who has now fucked up so royally in a way that is so painfully him

I fear we have lost the plot once more

First of all: what the actual fuck, just in general. Second of all: MEIZAN WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK there were several solutions to this problem and THAT WASNT ONE OF THEM

yeah definitely less nuance going on here and also needed slightly better editing...it's not Bad or anything but i wish she'd taken an extra couple months to clean some of this up and get it on par with Spin of Fate

this book is a lot less subtle and nuanced than spin of fate

i know aranel lost his sword but i'm not even a little bit over him carrying meizan's instead. i want to fling him into the sun

i just want everyone to know im on reread 4 of the murderbot diaries this year and i will not be counting them but i am rereading them and that's why everything else is slow. yes i am going insane. it's fine
