I forgot how many long unbroken paragraphs there are in this book. I keep having to leave off reading in the middle of one. This is pretty dated but still very interesting and mostly entertaining.

This book is sweet but too loooong.

Some pre-Halloween season reading. Definitely creepy!

I'm enjoying this more after my brief break from it.

Chapter 34
Something different or some kind of reveal better happen soon, because this book is a miserable place to be hanging out. The only character I feel anything for is Maeve. I'm sick of Natalie in the "present" and in her memories, and this is starting to feel like a slog.

Also, Natalie's continuing obsession with her old roommate Reena is making me hope that the ending of this book includes a happy ending for her.

"Do you know how cows feel when they die Nattie? Terrified.So what do you think you're eating when you eat beef?" Meaningful pause. "Terror. You're eating terror."
Huh. I could swear I remember these exact lines from Lily Esposito on the short-lived TV show Popular back in the day.

Seems like a quick read so far.

Yikes. I'm not even sure I want to read this, but I put a hold on it at the library and now it just came in, so I feel obligated to drop everything and zoom through it.

This book needs to be faster-paced. The characters are all fun to hang with, but I can't believe I'm not even halfway through yet.

I still keep losing track of whose head I'm supposed to be in, even as the other person's name keeps appearing on the page. Not sure if that's just a me problem. I like both Thea and Courtney and am enjoying their flirtations.

This is fun, but I wish Courtney and Thea's voices were more distinct. I keep forgetting whose chapter I'm in.

This pulled me right in. Somehow I managed to fall asleep just before the bearded dragon was definitely identified, though. :-D

Sometimes I wonder why I read any books that are not by T. Kingfisher. Review to come.

I walked past an unexpected bit of mirroring and jumped and gasped. This book is getting very much into my head.

While I'm not superstitious, I still don't think I'd send my sick child to a place called "Witherleaf." Sounds inauspicious for sure.

This is moving along nicely, with not just one but two bodies! I wonder if and how they could possibly be connected aside from the narrator being involved

I seem to have missed an installment. But I'll finish this one and then worry about catching up properly.

This is a quick read! Nothing too dramatic is happening, but I'm enjoying hanging out with Tallulah and Jamison.
