They dont support play as alternative to work because play is a "capitalist mutilated reality." We shouldnt play because humans have an essence: human nature is the production-reproduction if the conditions of life. If you're not productive then you're not human (the authors say travel is still okay because it "produces" new ideas for inventions). And everyone else isnt radical enough because they dont get this

Super nice as exploring the troubles through talks with people living through it. Some of it is just plain boring tho

"We need to return to marx and disregard theorists who built on marx... and now listen to my interpretation building on marx"

I feel like this book is gonna suck because its too rigidly marxist. But some of the stuff they write also seems promising posing revolutionary acts not as a form of politics but as an alternative to politics: expressing yourself through subversion

Probably gonna be just marxist drivel tho

"But postmodernism's supposed gestures of demystification do not emince sophistication so much as a certain naivety, a conviction that there were others, in the past, who really believed in the Symbolic."
