A bit intimidated by how long this volume is 😮‍💨

Okay so hear me out, not a huge fan of urban fantasy but I’m giving it another go and so far… I don’t think it’s for me 😂

Ok so question: should I DNF or does it get better?

I’ve never wanted to put a book down as fast as this one. I’m not fully sure what the magic system is or very intrigued by the premise. Should I give it until like 25%?

He’s on heroine and Xanax, and Oxy, all because of football.. the thing that was supposed to get him up out of there 🥲

We’re in better shape but for whatever reason I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop and I fear it’ll shatter my heart.

My whole body is tense, talk about a traumatic existence and he’s only ten. I feel how I felt getting through a little life… not my usual read it but I keep reminding myself growth is uncomfortable and sometimes we have to stare at the ugly to influence beauty.

The entirety of chapter 24 had my heart in a headlock. I couldn’t breathe past my sobs.

Okay but I feel my heart getting torn from my chest already.

Prediction: tragic enemies to lovers?

Struggling between staying on track with my reading goals, getting through my physical TBR, collecting the agar achievement badges to branch out into different genre’s & obsessively thinking about Ilya & Shane 😭
