correcting mistake in progress from previous update (I put in page 14 instead of 14%). here is another quote:

Currently reading the Ralph Manheim translation but may need to switch to the original because the narration in English is very strange

The book gets more tolerable when it stops playing around with the stupid amnesia opening but it still has intensely insufferable SOLAR! FREAKING!! ROADWAYS!!! energy.
I can kind of see why the one time this guy tried writing a female protagonist everyone hated it.

This might be one of the worst things I’ve ever read.

I have to say when I picked up a random sci-fi novel because people said it was weird and interesting I wasn’t expecting half of it so far to be about all the times Kurdish people got genocided

So I think basically this is like if you got To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf and replaced the depression/anxiety with autism/ADHD

IT’S GOOD

Best summary of my thoughts so far is that I was not surprised to discover that Virginia Woolf’s Wikipedia page has separate dedicated sections for her ‘Mental Health’ and her ‘Sexuality’. I see the vision.
