Also the amount of grammar/punctuation/editing mistakes I keep seeing is insane. How did this book get published

This would be so much better without the countless descriptions of designer brands and fabrics and patterns I have never heard of before. Every time Magnolia starts talking about what she or someone else is wearing I have to pretend I understand as I skim over the paragraph bc I don’t know what any of that shit means. But I have reached an interesting part finally

Reading this feels like a humiliation ritual

Weird so far. It’s so painfully American right from the first page for a book set in London and about British characters and their lifestyles. I’m cringing badly so far but I’m curious to see where things go so I guess it’s not awful yet
