it’s giving twilight zone. it’s always cool to see what people back in the day imagined the future would be like. it’s very grim but also at the same time hopeful, at least compared to how i would imagine the future to be.

So far, it’s pretty good. It’s giving 1950’s Atlanta (the show by Donald Glover), especially with the vet being all prophetic and strange, like in that one episode in Atlanta.

The concept of blackness = invisibility is so genius and describes being black in the North pretty perfectly, even 70 years later. :/

I only just started reading but already this is one of the craziest books I’ve ever read. The first two chapters are not at all what i expected after reading the introduction. Now I’m scared to read the rest. But I will because the concept of blackness = invisibility is so genius I have to see it through.
