the first 2 books in HoO are always so hard to get through 😭

“a drag path” but it’s the inevitable prophecy written in the stars years ago that you can’t escape

this book feels like one big competition of “who can yearn the most while being totally aware of your inevitable destruction”….and i’m eating it up!!

guys I cannot stress this enough PLS read immortal consequences this fall

not only is the book amazing with TONS of representation, academic rivals to lovers, and atmospheric vibes, it’s perfect for fall, and the author is so incredibly sweet

guys sometimes the random updates and polls trying to get frqs get to a point, they fill everyone’s page and notifications

i wish i wasnt spoiled that part bc i would’ve been SHOCKED.

i think booktok is ruining literature and it isn’t.

more people are reading, and it’s helping publishers

however, some authors are kicked to the curb for not meeting the standards, books are filled with tropes, and every popular book feels almost exactly the same as the other

people are skipping long paragraphs, only reading dialogue, someone said asking for no repetitive words

what i’ve been noticing that is that the last 2 years i was speeding thru books and both years my avg rating was 2.9 stars

this year i made my goal half as much as last year’s and i’ve been enjoying my reads sm more. moral of the story? read for entertainment—not to meet a goal or deadline 💌
