The mental image of Maul and Sidious disguised as tourists in front of the Jedi Temple and pointing out the names and faces of various Jedi, and discussing their deaths and downfall, is hilarious! I want a fan-made picture of that with Sidious and Maul in Disney tourist get-up and flowery shirts in front of the Jedi Temple doing that.

With this in mind, it would make sense for why Sidious would eventually abandon him, with or without Maul dying in TPM. Ambition is the way of the Sith, and Maul has no personal ambition to gain power to defeat his master as is the way.

I like how in this book we've got opposing perspectives on how one deals with pain and loss with differing philosophies.

I like how we've been hinting the reason for why Lorn Pavan detests Jedi as a whole for half of this book, and we are still left for the reason why. This is a mystery I'm looking forward to seeing through.

Ah, so we do have confirmation that Yoda was the most skilled lightsaber duelist of the Jedi Council, let alone the Order. So, I'm assuming that the previous description was only the thoughts of the Padawan Darsha.

Quite the jump from wound cauterization to Sith. I-Five did bring up the possibility of a rogue Jedi, which is more plausible considering the Sith haven't been around for a thousand years. The other possibility was someone who had found a lightsaber and used it. But I guess there was no body of the user, let alone the lightsaber itself, and an explosion, there is credence of a Force user.

So, I see that Gwen Stacy is in this world. And she's married to Harry Osborne.

Sidious's musings of Jedi philosophy and its practice is...amusing given how many casual fans say similar things now. This was written in 2001, and yet these ideas have been around far longer than those fans have been living.

It's like if C-3PO was given R2-D2's personality but amped up in creative clapbacks and modified with built-in weapons and splicing tools.

I'm trying to remember where I've read this protocol droid, I-Five, before because I like him.
