Besides some interesting tidbits of the writing for "The Curse" that was a no-nothing interview.

I think that George Lucas and Steven Spielberg was brought up in the same way. That's why their films are so beloved. Pity this style of teaching isn't done in film school anymore.

So, the first interview is on the composer for the Re-Animator trilogy, Castle Freak, From Beyond, and The Resurrected, all of which are inspired this book.

Now we come to the final section of the book: the interviews of what I'm guessing to be of various people who worked in these different productions.

The next few pages are all filled with production art, movie stills, and promotional posters for the various films.

"The Real Ghostbusters" animated show apparently had a couple of episodes inspired by the Cthulhu mythos. BTW, this show was based off of the OG Ghostbusters, and not the 90s group that had a more diverse cast.

"Lovecraft then rhapsodizes about his three great loves: 1) of the strange and the fantastic, 2) of abstract truth and scientific logic, 3) of the ancient and the permenant." Pretty sure his education was interrupted a lot as a child and he probably had anxiety fits due to large, crowded places like schools.

An alien, one-eyed monster that can suck out the brains of people, but their victims are still capable of walking and speaking? The heck?

So, this Japanese TV movie version of "The Shadow Over Innsmouth" was made in 1992 and at the time of this writing, there has been no subtitles or dubbing in English? I wonder if that has changed in the 33 years since?

oooOOOOOOooooooh, a TV series back in 2005 that had a bunch of directors and screenwriters for horror films called "Masters of Horror." Fun.

So, a screenwriter of Japanese movie adoptions/inspirations of Lovecraft wrote this episode in Digimon that was an obvious Lovecraftian love-letter with Cthulhu- and Deep One-like monsters in a world that's underwater.

An episode of Digimon is Lovecraftian?! I gotta read this.

This "humans see only less than one tenth of the actual visual spectrum" is like saying that humans only use 10% of our brains.

John Rhys-Davies was in a Lovecraftian horror movie? This was between Indiana Jones and Lord of the Rings.

Although this movie is quite old with a release date of 1958, "The Trollenberg Terror" certainly is rather interesting from the pictures.

Of course, "John Carpenter's The Thing" gets a mention.

The main reason I got this book was because I was hoping that the movies listed in it had a scene of human sacrifice to a tentacle monster in a pit that I remember finding in the early days of YouTube. I can't find the name of it anymore. It doesn't look like it's listed here.

Lovecraft's attempts at made-up, alien language is quite laughable. No spaces, just apostrophes.

"Quatermass and the Pit," eh? I'll have to look around to see where this movie can be found.

A movie that made a link between apes and humans 5 million years old? It's not too off the mark by about 2.5—3 million years.

Even though you only saw her lips and the back of her head in the previous chapter, this panel confirms that the demon they are facing is a woman, which is a stark contrast to what has been going on in the previous books. I don't recall any prominent female demon in the previous volumes nor any that are among the rabble. Women tend to be the victims of the demons rather than the demons themselves.

I could see a mini-series produced by Del Toro about the different Lovecraftian stories.

I love how the people running the courtesan house are both complimenting Zenitsu and misinterpreting his aggression while he's playing the shamisen. The boy is gifted and doesn't even know it!
