i just read 168 pages in one setting. and mind you it's monday tomorrow 😭

i also find my new trope i love - jealousy in romance - i have always loved this most of the romance book used to have very few instances - more like a instance to get the couple together but this one banks it's stroyline on jealousy - fuming jealousy - and i'm here for it 😭

and honestly what's it with mike's character ?

generally the jealousy part comes almost in middle of storyline but here it starts with it and i'm abosutely eating it up 🙆🏾

this was mix of both what i expected and was also surprising. i really loved how the author handled the flow of the storyline - it's like i was sure i was correct when guessed but then diverted me (maybe that was her intentions from the start to lay out the answers and divert) and when it was revealed it felt like she was laughing saying ha i got you. it was definitely a fun and entertaining read.

part 2 was the book i was expecting from page 1 🥲

i was sat but now i'm thinking 😂

i mean i'm liking it but it's taking too many turns with the characters (maybe they are introduced for the stroyline, so i don't want to judge now) but also i do want more of court based drama. but as of now it's more like domestic thriller drama.

i'm sat! i love a good legal thriller and this one comes with perspective of england's justice system (which i'm reading for the kind of first time) so i'm so intrigued with all the explanation of court related terms and how they work.

she definitely needs therapy especially after the ending 🥲

okay part three is irtating me 🤦🏽

this woman is abosutely crazy but yet i can understand where she coming from which is honestly f**ked up

is it bad that i'm able to sympathize and understand the protagonist's thoughts 🥲

around 200 pages i was not sure i wanted to continue but now im sat!!!!

I can so see why so many people love this book! It just keeps you in the moment of agony the main character is going through!

And I think the thriller part just started 🤔

This feels like a good 2000s rom-com & I'm really loving it so far!

Hooked!

For the entire four days I spent reading this book, it completely consumed me. The story and characters lingered with me even when I wasn’t reading. It’s easily one of the best thrillers and courtroom dramas I’ve read - it pulls you in from the start and constantly has you questioning everything, making you think in multiple directions at once. The writing keeps you on your toes - it's sharp and immersive.

I brought this today and started at 10:30. I had to literally force myself to stop reading at 1:00.

I absolutely love how Sally writes her characters—flawed, authentic, and deeply human. And there’s this subtle suspense woven throughout that keeps you hooked and might just catch you off guard by the end.

Definitely. Definitely. Definitely. This one was not for me. I'm just proud that my stubborn self somehow finished it instead of DNFing.

Honestly nothing worked out for me expect I loved secondary characters Gibbis & Claire. And the one chapter towards the end was kind of funny ( the hospital one).

This is the second book I've read by her, and while I thought I knew what to expect, the emotional depth didn’t hit me right away. Overall I would put this in almost good but a okay read!

Okay! Unless you are not fan of Freida McFadden don't pick this one up (so that you can tolerate this for her other books). Because if you go in expecting full on Thiller/Mystery this not the book.

I honestly don't know what this book was about. It felt like fiction that talked about human behaviours with a background of a storyline that was struggling hard to be a thiller.

This book is a beautiful and heartwarming read, filled with moments that will make you smile and, at times, bring tears to your eyes. You might find yourself relating to certain situations, or perhaps you'll experience similar ones in the future. But no matter what, there will always be beauty in life and in the people who live through it. Every aspect of this story fills the heart, and I absolutely loved it!
