I can't believe I was ever upset that Clara wasn't with the nutcracker/prince. Clara and Fin are EVERYTHING. Fin is the best, and I love him more than I can explain. But Lo and Lir? Something major better happen in the next 40% of the book. Otherwise, I just find them downright miserable without much reasoning. Like Lo, sometimes I get it, but Lir oof. Gotta dive into that to get me to root for them. Yeesh.

I always forgot Aragorn wasn't always Aragorn LOL. God I love Strider though and Sam. Now that a lot of the world building has eased up, so much easier to follow. And now is when it's starting to get so tense.

I remember this was my top reads for HS literature. So far, I like it even more as an adult with the heavy anti-war, the propaganda we are fed, the brainwashing of youths, and so much more meaning to the book. Ah. Brilliant.

Honestly wish I had the physical copy so I could read faster, but this is so enjoyable so far. I'm so confused who tf Bombadil actually was😭
