I’m gobsmacked.

What is happening?

Enjoying the interaction between Evie and Tristan a lot. I feel like the animosity between King Benedict and Tristan may be born from a failed relationship between them. At least that is what I hope is the case. It would be nice to have a bi main character in this series.

This is different because I don’t normally read about an anxious hockey player. I just assumed you had to be fearless to play that game especially at the NHL level.

Just finished Heated Rivalry and thought I would continue down this weird rabbit hole of a series.

I hope this one will be good as well.

Took a break for a few days but now I’m back to it. Trying to keep motivated. This couple is good but I think I like the couple from the first book a bit more. I struggle to remember a lot that I have listened to in this book. It’s not bad, it’s just not leaving an impression on me.

I just finished book one of this series and I’m now on to book 2 so that I can watch the show which is now at episode four. It seems that this … thing between the main characters … it has been going on for a while. I wasn’t expecting that.

I can’t believe I’ve read this much so far this year. This is a huge steps since I haven’t read anything since 2023.

I actually like this epilogue.

This book is about expire again in about 2 hrs. I am trying to power through cause I’m almost done.

Nina is just flip flopping right now and if she pulls this, “it’s not you but me” thing with Jamie right now, I am going to be so annoyed.

As I was starting a re read of Fourth Wing, I realized that I hadn’t finished this book yet.

If I remember correctly, the book was returned before I had the chance to renew it. Anyways there’s under 2 hours remaining so the pressure to get it done this weekend is on.

I got a lot of reading done while at work today.

I am happy to be getting a non fiction in my reading this year.

I’ve been listening and watching a lot of YouTube videos about men’s reactions to things like the 4B/West 4B movement and the Bear Vs Man question. Amongst all that commentary and discussion, this book was recommended as required reading so I’m adding it to my non fiction read for the year.

Also I just realized that the majority of this book was from Nina, Sam and Daphne’s POV. Beatrice has had very little screen time in this one.

Yeah this whole thing is like level 10 awkward between Sam and Marshall.

I want their thing to stay tight cause I really like them together but I need Sam to grow up more. She really feels like the 15 year sister against her 22 yr old siblings.

WTF Sam! Why the hell are we blabbing about all the going ons happening with the fam to the random guard you use to know from a few years back? I understand y’all may have kissed and whatever but that’s no reason to give anyone this much ammunition against the crown.

I just burst out laughing at work while listening to this.

I mean Nina's luck is just incredible.

I mean to be into guys who all happen to be royalty is like being struck by lightning.

I actually started this on April 29 2024 because I needed a bit of a break from the fantasy series I arbitrarily started.

This is so refreshing and I am enjoying it even though Sam is being super thoughtless about how her actions have impacted her family.

Every time they say “my mate”, I inwardly cringe.

It’s like I get it but you don’t need to wrap your whole reason for living to this title.

You are more than that in the grand scheme of the universe. Geez 🙄

Ok this betrayal seems really out of nowhere.

I mean it was a bit surprising but I don’t see the advantage the character had for doing this.

Like I don’t see the gains.

Toria is in some deep ish right now.

Honestly we have just under six hours left in this book and I have no idea how these two storylines are going to converge.

With only 30% left, it’s gonna be a tall order to try to cohesively merge this storyline into the previous book’s storyline so that we can end book 5 gracefully.

Toria and Nick are just unnecessarily difficult. I mean they want each other and I haven’t heard a convincing enough argument as to why they aren’t together.

OK, I took a mini break from this book for a couple of days and now I’m back and I am starting to get into it little bit more. I think I needed the break for a hot minute. Anyways we’re having Nick introduced this new chick named Samara too Margo and Jacoff ( u really don’t know how to spell his name) and she is… interesting. Like in a “yikes“ kind of way 😬

Zarious is bold af. He really stood in front of Nick and spoke with his full chest lol.
