Van Gogh fascinates me; both him and his art.

It is getting boring for me. Like it was good for a mere two seconds.

The inner thoughts of the characters (4 bestfriends who called themselves Little Women) are just so funny. Admittedly, they all seem so similar and I could make out who they are only by their circumstances.

One thing about this man is, he is a genius and fairly lucky in life. His financial choices were questionable but despite that, he is still a prolific artist. I gasp every time I look upon his art.

I'm on edge just thinking that something will hurt me at any moment. I'm just glad that at the very least Sunja knows her worth and has got brains.

"Yes, I understood, God's truth, that on the battlefield they wanted only fleeting madness. Madmen of rage, madmen of pain, furious mad-men, but temporary ones. No continuous madmen. As soon as the fighting ends, we're to file away our rage, our pain, and our fury. Pain is tolerated, we can bring our pain home on the condition that we keep it to ourselves."

The surface textures you can witness on his paintings are insane. That was all I could think of after seeing An Artist in His Studio (c. 1629).

I hate this Richard guy. Do not convince me otherwise.

Oh Van Gogh. His care for the suffering of people and love of nature relating nature's cycle to God is certainly admirable. Everything else is... another discussion to have - all I can say is, melancholy weigh down heavily on him.

Overwhelmed by the difference of vibe as compared to Leonardo da Vinci. Utterly depressing and for a lack of a better word, amusing.

So far, the book has not been pulling in as much as I want to. But it is perhaps too early to tell.

There's just something about the chapter My Dungeon Shook where Baldwin wrote a letter to his nephew on the one hundredth anniversary of the emancipation - something visceral that should shake the hearts of those who care about humanity (at the very least).

Very intrigued. This is probably my first age gap trope but I hope the book is more than just that.

Dang. This book is hitting me harder than I thought it would.

woe to the oppressors! this is going to be a hard read but we all bear witness and persist in doing so regardless.

This book has made me gasped like at least three times.

I'm going to hate every man in this book aren't I.

With every page, I love Elias even more. I'm actually going to cry.

It just dawned on me that Sabaa Tahir seems to enjoy doing fantasy books where they're running off somewhere. I hope this part of 'hide and seek' ends soon.

Also, I will never shut up about how Laia is on the fence we both Elias and Keenan. Take Keenan and leave Elias with me, :)
