I have thoroughly enjoyed this book, since I have never thought about the history of progress this way before.

The idea of infinity reaches new levels of philosophical relevance of infinity. Thoroughly enjoyable so far.

I have never really thought about the beginnings of infinity. Deutsch has and I like his perspective so far.

Very interesting real-life experience of socialism/communism.

Quite enjoying the background of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Also the follow-up Lila.

I have read the classic Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance many times. This book is telling the tale of how the book came to be. It is interesting to get the background. So far, so good.

I know the stories presented, for the most part, but many new details of interactions among scientists.

Loving this book. I know the history, but this book (so far) fills in some blanks.

At first the premise was confusing as usual for PKD, but as I got into it deeper, I realize the philosophical implications of the near-future catastrophe outlined. Now intrigued.

Really enjoyed the statistical approach. The case studies and business approach not so much.

So far, lots of interesting applications of statistics to decision making and problem solving. I used these techniques daily in my job as a computational geneticist, so I can follow easily.

Finished the main text of the novel. Now over 300 end notes. I should have been reading them all along? What a challenge!

Some things are becoming clearer. Others not so much. Not giving up!

Slow going but I'm still making progress.

My goodness only half way. I am still committed to completion.

Wow, this sprawling epic is still developing characters. This is gonna be a long one.

What an interesting and challenging read so far. Lots of tech concepts, philosophy, counterculture, on and on. I don't mind if I have to look up words. :-)

This is gonna take a while.I recently read most people only read 6% on average. Over 1000 pages.

Just getting started on this one I have had on my reading stack for a while.

Made it to the 20th century!

Leaving the 19th and into the 20th century.

As with other books in the series, this one is very good and Pickover is the best author of the series so far.

Up to the 1960s now, enjoying every entry in the 250+ entries in the book.
