Revisiting one more old friend before year end.

Absolutely lovely and delightful little book! This is one that I will revisit often.

Another annual Christmas read. I love it more and more each year!

I’m a little late with my annual visit to Mitford this Christmas season. So cozy and wonderful. I love this town and these characters so much. And I always find something new to appreciate and reflect upon with each read.

"I am very pleased. It feels . . . This feels . . . like happy times come to life again. Like stepping back into that life. And now I shall read it to my own great-grandchildren. Because that’s what books are, aren’t they? A coming home.”

I loved it! I loved the way this was told through beautiful illustrations and the wizard and lion guides. I definitely need a hard copy.

Re-reading!

I've been looking forward to this one! I love the illustrations and the way this is being told.

One of my favorite Christmas re-reads. Visiting the Edinburgh Festival (and Edinburgh in general) is on my Bucket List. I just wish Mr. McCredie's Old Town Bookshop was real!

I love watching The Bishop's Wife (1947 starring Cary Grant, Loretta Young, and David Niven) every year around Christmas. I don't know how I'm just now finding out it was adapted from this book.

Cute middle-grade Christmas story! This would be a fun movie.
