I was intimidated to start, but am thoroughly enjoying now

I intended to start the brothers Karamazov, but got intimidated. I had this book in my backpack, and started the reread.

I look around me and am constantly surrounded by reminders of the people I’ve lost, mostly from my own actions. I have struggled with these thoughts and reminders: shame, sadness, grief.

And yet I’m grateful for every person I’ve hurt and who has hurt me. And give myself grace despite it.<3

I never know what Joseph is saying

I’ve read quite a few 19th century novels, this is by far the best. It’s written so wittily, I love the subtlety of the supernatural, I love the breaks in the story to return to the present. Frick Tuberculosis for taking Emily Brontë far too soon.

Oh I didn’t know it was like that Suzanne. Came out swinging. You know it’s bad when the author of the most popular dystopian series of all time comes out immediately indirectly criticizing Trump and the current admin for being dystopian in the epigraphs.
