I wasn't going to do this yet, but the reviews grabbed me by the mammarys

I got bored around the 70% mark but I feel I'm too far to DNF now. Note to self, read the tropes beforehand and don't pick up anything that mentions golden retriever. Possibly something to unpack with a therapist, but I've no interest in cutesy niceness thank u x

This is like reading trash TV. You absolutely need to switch the logical/common sense side of your brain off and be able to stomach something that could have been written by a teenager, but it's exactly what I need in-between intense world building and fae drama-esque reads. I have successfully left my intelligence at the door and I think I'm going to have a great time.

From the perspective of someone who needed a break from intense world building and Fae drama, I am absolutely enjoying where this is heading and I am very content with my choice

I could have powered through this if it wasn't for the CONSTANT flashbacks

I'm normally hooked by this point and my ability to push through is waning.....

Easily the best smut I've ever read but I'm just not vibing with the rest of it, the plot and the characters are very meh and it's all feeling a lil bit too easy. Considering a DNF but also don't feel like I can over half way through? Holy dilemma this is going to sit taking up a Kindle spot for a while isn't it.
