I didn’t realise this was a serious adventure story. Took me a while to understand why… my only reference for this is The Muppets: Treasure Island *face palm*

The sad start has made it difficult for me to keep going. It well written, but my empathic heart might struggle with this one.

Highly recommended by a few book-tokkers... so far, not just disappointing, but boring.

Novellas are supposed to be snappy, this one’s like watching paint dry

Christian White can always be relied upon to deliver a well structured crime/suspense.

I have to take a break. I’m audiobook and reading it and Maura Tierney is the VA… she’s awful!! I’ll try again in a few weeks, just reading, and see if it improves.

This first third was so promising but it’s losing me.
And I don’t understand why the FMC is American but the narrator is British… with a bad American accent?
