I just read the part about what happened to Dr.Westlake and I don’t think I’ll ever look at bees the same. Also chaotic Dr.Toy… not a good fate. One of the worst I could imagine

I can’t tell what’s real anymore and that is somehow more comforting than it should be (fingers crossed everything is a hallucination? Wishful thinking)

I’m about to start part 4: ambrosia

So far, this has been a very sad and unnerving backstory for Luke. I am so curious about Dr. W and what he was studying in his lab…. But it seems like this could get really bad really fast. Nothing crazy or truly scary has happened yet on the base, but everything seems to be coming to a peak

Just finished part 1 - super sad disease, and very scary to think about. I’m baffled by the messages from the brother and the other scientist, and it seems like perhaps this creepy goo is more sentient than not. Imagery so far is creepy, unsettling and I’m ready for them to get into the water!

So far this is very strange. It’s hard to tell what the root cause of the evil in this story is, but I am very engaged. I also have noticed several Parallels with Stephen Kings The Shinning. I like the references and so far this story has me baffled in the best and creepiest way.

I’ve read this story before but that doesn’t make it any easier to read through again. My heart aches for Lennie

My teeth are aching at how sweet this is. Nyx deserves his wonderful little adoring gardener!

Stayed up until 2 am to read more of this book.

This is much darker than the movie makes the relationship out to be. Time to lock in and cry I guess

This book might be better the second time. I’m seeing so many things I didn’t notice today. Even just the descriptions of Aury and Seraph when Danny is working at the military base. Also, I would pay good money to meet Edin all over again. He is the goofiest purple himbo on the planet.

Wow this is a very spooky serial killer story so far - i really like all the POV’s from the detectives and families. Haunting
