Now that I've done away with the illusion that this is some kind of Thomas Pynchon postmodern novel (idk I guess bc of the cover of my audiobook?) and more of a nostalgic midcentury vignette that's quite crass I can enjoy it as a nice American autumn read. :)

I can't believe I'm back to only reading this book for the foreseeable future...

Up until now I thought this was published in the 1930s, which made it way more impressive. It was published in 1982, so.

I think I'm at the point in the year where I'm not allowed to start reading any new books.

I was looking at all of my "currently reading" like...no but what am I *actually* currently reading. Re-reading is so not my friend.
