I’ve had this one on my reading list for a while, and I’m so glad I decided to listen to it now. I’m finding it to be incredibly emotional and I’m so proud to be a Canadian, and especially of my Nova Scotian roots. Looking forward to enjoying the rest of this true story.

I’m enjoying this book so far, but struggling with the author’s repeated reference to Covid in the past tense. Covid continues to circulate, causing severe illness, death, and disability. It seems irresponsible to reference the pandemic, but then make no mention of its continued devastating effects.
