So yes, I have read this book before, but it was under dictator w*ls*n and I absolutely hated it. So now is the time I decided to give it a shot right about four years later, and I can't buy this prose is beautiful

This might go down as George's most accessible work and it touches upon the themes that ASOIAF establishes in such an intimate way.

Opening this book with an Aeron chapter is such a ballsy move from GRRM I can't help but to just love it.

Ok so I restarted the book because its been way too long and I'm getting way too knee deep into the lore for me to have only read the first 3 books.

I know that hindsight is 20/20 and all but oh my god if those mfs HAD HIM STOPPED ON THE SIDEWALK. Literally had to ask him to move closer to the car and they would've nabbed bro 🫩

If I made my own lil cipher I wonder how long it would take to decode because on some rs no one cracking my own personal cipher. Like at least 2 weeks max.

goodreads is exactly how cormac mccarthy intended for this to be read and to maintain his legacy and artistic intent I will not be using any punctuation throughout the rest of my updates of this book as to maintain the artistic integrity of this novel I can't lie this book is getting a lil redundant and boring now that I've seen unbridled violence for the like 30th time

The entire sequence with the volcano and the judge is so good and so well written, I'm gonna re read it to see what more I can dig out from the writing but thats probably the best thing I've read so far. The tarot chapter is great too but its really ambiguous

kinda oddessey-esque but the written prose is so fucking layered with biblical allusions and small assumptions on the characters. I can't catch 90% of it but I know it'll hit on a reread which im prob gonna do
