Love the description of scientists losing their mind over a superconductor able to be cooled at -200 degrees Fahrenheit instead of -460 degrees Fahrenheit. Kelvins being a system of measurement is fucked up to begin with nothing should go below -30 degrees.

I think there is a reason the AI character is so important— that is this overarching theme of what defines sentience in a being, and the continuous inquiry of trying to understand the minds of other people and animals
