This book was recommended to me by two people who say it’s the climate fiction one to read on geoengineering. The pacing and pov writing style is taking a bit for me to get used to although it’s drawn me in nonetheless. The Texas setting is familiar. The story takes place in the near future although I can’t quite determine when. The science is explained simply and I’ve already learned a few things.

Starting chapter six. I’m reading it to try to understand the tech monopoly mindset. Have to do a few mental gymnastics to understand some of Thiel’s points because he cherry picks metaphors in order to make his argument. Other points I can see his perspective even if it’s phrased unconventionally. Not yet fully convinced at this point in the book.

Starting the Avoidant Attachment section. I related very much to the Anxious Attachment section, so I am looking forward to better understanding another perspective in a relationship.

Starting page 33 on US Attitudes Toward Spying.

I didn’t realize how many flashback chapters this book would have. It’s taking me more time to get through than the first two books in the series because I’m not enjoying the plot as much with this story device and second chance romance.

Starting Chapter 6.

So high school. I’m finding it difficult to immerse myself in this elite royal American dynasty universe. Perhaps if I had read this when I was a preteen I would’ve been more interested.

Off reading this for so long because I thought it was about a billionaire CEO and a flight attendant. I also didn’t like the cover title font. How fitting since the book is about not judging what is on the outside.

I’m trying to remember what happened in the story because it has been a while since I read Bride and I couldn’t recall a lot of the lore or characters but I’m slowly getting back into the world building of the Vampyre, Human, Werewolves.
