Weaves in the cast of characters from the inventors of computing and memory chips to the small market share that grew into overseas manufacturing and assembling plants in Southeast Asia (and geopolitical consequences) and the dual-use tech relationship driving national security interests in advanced tech.

Begins with 2001 special operations in Afghanistan. Courageous, patriotic stories of special operators during GWOT.

Lots of adjectives and detailed flowery prose, giving it a Victorian British feel.

The cover is pretty. The concept of a time travel ministry made me thing this would be more sci-fi than it actually is. It’s pretty boring so far. I fall asleep after reading a few pages each time I pick it up. The main character is kind of bland as in I don’t know or understand her motives for being a bridge to Commander Gore or why she interacts with him the way that she does. Just going through the motions.

I read the reviews that had spoilers and Î’m not interested in reading a story about second chance romance and cheating in a marriage.

More spiritual than scientific.

Could use cook time at the top of the recipe. I like that these are simple recipes and don’t have paragraphs of backstory.

This is turning out to have more wilderness survival and snowed in a cabin than I thought a firefighter story would have. I really didn’t like hoe the MMC responded to the FMC when she disclosed her traumatic past. He was so caught up in the misunderstanding and could only respond to his jealousy that she was married and didn’t disclose that earlier. A lot of unexpected religious deprogramming too.
