Kage randomly into Regan feels really out of nowhere? He has maintained this mysterious demeanor for all 3 books but there are no hints at all about his motivations or goals so he feels really flat. His mystery doesn’t feel intriguing.

Florence crushing on Nyxaris struck me as odd. Is he a dragon shifter stuck in his shifted form? That could be an interesting reveal.

Not sure I’m loving the pacing so far.
