2☆ should be titled “Chronicles of Zeus‘s affairs” because it was literally just a list of his illegitimate children and Hera trying to kill them + their mothers but failing. If you’re gonna write a feminist retelling, DO IT! There was no story and it felt repetitive. I enjoyed the ending, but it felt rushed and incohesive. There was so much unexplored potential with the character of Hera. Im disappointed

2.5☆ I understand the hype! TRUELY, I do. It was cute and full of yearning with a lot of plot-driving tension. But it was not my cup of tea. I never connected with it regardless of the fact that I was very invested in what the outcome would be. It was good, but not for me.

☆ first and foremost, justice for Constance ✊🏼 they did her DIRTY. Was it sad? Yes. But was it exactly what you would expect from a war romance? Unfortunately, to it’s detriment, also yes. The love story was cute but there are 100 other books just like it. The plot twist is what saved it for me. It was good. But overhyped.

3☆ the writing was amazing. The first half of the book was very “💃🏼🧠” the second half was very “🔪🧎🏼‍♀️” I was shocked at multiple occasions. I went from relating to her, to being severely concerned. I asked myself “how did we get here?” MULTIPLE times. Then 14 pages before the end it’s like a whole new book was started and it got rushed and incohesive.

2.5☆ It was good. But I was waiting for it to be great. It was sweet, wholesome, and cute. But it was too on the nose. Like the author didn't trust us to understand what he meant so he made it overly clear leaving very little of the meaning up for interpretation. I also think 50-100 pages less would have worked in its favor.

Only early 2000s kids are gonna understand this (and I may be getting ahead of myself) but do you all remember that show on Cartoon Network “Foster’s home for imaginary friends”? So far, that’s what this book is alluding to.

5☆ The update I gave yesterday, disregard it completely. I sobbed like a child. Fetal position crying. Joan, Vanessa, and Frances are now deeply within me. I loved this book. Had multiple anxiety attacks, but that just added to the appeal I guess.

I’m struggling to envision some of the things that are described and it’s really impairing my ability to connect with the book. That being said, i’ve heard about how this book is emotionally devastating, and based off of the foreshadowing up until this point, I think I know why. But I just fear I’m not gonna feel the emotions as deeply because I’m not connecting

5☆ GOD TIER!!! “love and other words” is still my all time favorite book but this… this is an extremely extremeeeeeeamly close second. I love it so much. So so soooo much. This book means the world to me. This series, means the world to me. My heart is so full. But I'm also so sad it's over. 😭♥️

5☆ picked it up with the intention of having a slow start to my Sunday morning. Turns out it was never put down until it was finished at 11pm 😅 Cover to cover and enjoyed every single second of it. Dare I say this might be my favorite in the series 👀

DON’T GET ME WRONG, I really liked it. It's the “best in the series” for a reason. But it fell short compared to the previous 2. If I had read it as a standalone it would have probably been a 5☆ but since it's part of the greater whole… 3.25☆ The love confession, yearning, and found family were top-tier. But I just didn’t connecting with Miller and Kai as much as I would have wanted. (still cried tho)

THIS is everyone's favorite book in the series?!?!?! Don't get me wrong, it's good, it's cute, but the first book was spectacular. The second book was unbelievable. And after 377 pages I don't feel that spark. I am invested. I like the characters and the story a lot. But by comparison, it falls short for me.

Same thing I said for book 1 it would be a 4.75☆ if I wanted to be picky and petty, but it’s a 5☆ because why would I be a bitch to Ryan Shay? I loved this book. Let me be specific … I thoroughly L O V E D this man. I cried happy disbelieving tears multiple times while reading this if that says anything.

OH MY GOD!! People say this is the worst book in the series…. If that's the case this will be a holy grail set of books for me because I LOVED this book. I loved the representation and the very real depth both MCs had. This was perfection. Debated giving it 4.75 but that would be me being picky for no reason. This is a 5☆ read for sure!!

DNF at 93% 😭 I can't do it anymore. The premise was such a good idea. This could have been a beautiful book. But it was TERRIBLE!! And when they revealed the “secret plot twist” I actually yelled “WTF!!!” The ick that I had became full disgust. Yeah no. I can't do it. I simply don't care about the last 7% at this point
