DID NOT EXPECT THAT! Going into this blind and reading it for the first time at 27 makes it hard to believe this is a Y.A. novel. The fact that this is a collection of letters that cover only ONE year of this very mentally ill 14-year-old’s life makes it even harder to wrap my mind around. Am I the only one who didn't get the memo that this is a very dark book? 3☆
