My first thought is how frustrating Arnet is!! Don’t you have any sense tact? It’s incredibly frustrating that as soon as Arnet gets some solid clues he has no decorum and ask the person related to the clue about the clue? For example, don’t ask your uncle if he summoned Old Tom, and then back it up with what you heard!

I am enjoying this book immensely! I am following in love with Sara’s humility and kind heart, as well as her budding relationship with Arnet. I find myself even more intrigued by him. I feel awful for Sammy, I can’t imagine being stuck in a hole with a mind that works as fast as his. The Old Tom lead is very interesting

I’m interested in the symbol on the mast and its link to Arnet. Is Sammy really guilty of a crime? And is he faking not knowing his crime? I want to like Sammy.

Weird
