it was really easy to emotionally connect to the characters, especially Lale. i think because of the gravity of the situation he’s in, anyone would easily empathise with him. i’m anxious (for good and bad reasons) to see how he and Goya’s stories develop.

to be honest i’m struggling to connect with any of the characters so far. hopefully this improves soon!

finallyyyyy jude and stella have met. one thing i don’t like about the book is how isolated it feels. i think there should be some integration between desiree and stella but maybe that’s on purpose. whilst one half is visible the other is hidden?? idk but i am thoroughly enjoying this part so far and excited to see how it pans out

got ahead of myself with the last update. so glad jude and kennedy have crossed paths now. so interested to see how their friendship dynamic is going to develop. also jude and reese are starting to annoy me; their relationship seems to be very empty now.

getting into the crux of the book now. knowing that stella was living another life but having ZERO context for the first half of the book so so frustrating!!! but her story is so interesting, especially when delving into her deep identity crisis and i realllyyyy hope jude and stella’s daughters’ stories intertwine somewhere down the line.
