Wow. Such a solid start to this female-Tarzan story. I know it’s going to get dark and trauma-filled, but DAMN, Darla is next level delightful. I hope the author doesn’t mess this up!

Why are there so many flashbacks of Eric? Sure, it’s interesting but how is this progressing the romance?? This isn’t a REAL drummer biography!!
And getting to know Ty, it totally gets glossed over?

This audio recording is next level good. James Cassidy has such a relaxed voice and Samantha Brentmoor is solid

Dimitri is now having a flashback. Gah!! I don’t care.

They’ve had public sex twice. But have only spoken maybe 10 words! The dialogue isn’t so good. So MUCH backstory explaining. Not really much action moving forward.

Chapter 7 is Andrea pov - Dimitri’s brother. Why?? So incredibly jarring. It was pretty much all background explaining.
And so far, the 2 main characters haven’t really interacted!

Oh no. Miscommunication trope. Sure, it’s emotional, but after 3 years a simple “he’s dead” would save all the angst

This book seems to be one big miscommunication. One after another. Every action is mis-read. Every phrase is misunderstood.

This is frustrating. All the angst is because these people refuse to soak to each other. Don’t ask the hard questions and stew in their doubt and uncertainty. Micah & John don’t deserve each other if they don’t ask the hard questions.

OMG!! Now Anne is TOTALLY lying about her emotions. This is so fucking annoying.

Not just a communication problem between Anne & Mal. This is non communication! This trope totally sucks because it just requires a little chit chat to solve the angst

Why isn’t she pissed off at him not telling her about moving to Portland? I’m still so annoyed he hasn’t really shown development

Having just read a different revenge on ex story, this one is coming up a little lacking. And having just checked the reviews, I’m realising it’s a cliffhanger ending. Not going to continue.

Nooo….. why Carlos. He was like the fairy godmother in all of the stories. So sad.

Noah better have a good explaination about why he was doing Sophie’s flatmate on her bed!

Kasey is meant to be all hardcore, but Dom walks all over her. She needs to show him he can’t do that.
And James - talk about instalove. I don’t understand why he already knows he loves her. They’ve hardly been together. Why doesn’t he think it’s strong attraction.
Both these main characters are annoying

So the downward spiral was because of a miscommunication. Grrrr

Danny is chasing Holly. Holly is all “no, not interested”. I do not understand why Danny is still chasing her!! He’s made his interest known, she declined. Walk away. So annoying. Holly is so annoying.

There is eeew in this. 3 brothers with 1 girl. Their kids would be siblings and cousins!

How many times has she played possum?? How does she even think this is still working?

I’m getting some seriously negative vibes about Killian. He seems so good, surely it’s not all a hoax!

I’m actually enjoying this! I like how honest Willa is with Shane

Why wouldn’t she tell him more than the bare basics? It’s opening up the story to miscommunication trope
