Oh jeez! I didn’t expect that

I definitely just picked this book because I finished up my holds list on Libby and clicked one that was available with no expectations. I’m already really engrossed in the plot, the characters, the storytelling…this is on track to be my favorite book this month. I’m really relating to Ryan’s thoughts, besides the pretentiousness of it haha

Why is the oldest brother that forced a bunch of people to commit *sewer-slide* allowed in but the younger brother that killed the older brother not allowed in? How does the “mass murderer” vampire have a soul but the “trying to save the world by killing one person” vampire soulless? Hopefully there’s a good reason for that.

Why is Grace questioning whether or not her mom knew that she was a gargoyle if the witch from last book literally told her that her witchy mother and father asked her to turn Grace into a gargoyle??? GIRL YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT YOUR MOM KNEW! SHE MADE YOU!

I definitely don’t need to be so angry about this but why would a city of giants…that is hidden from the rest of the world besides giants…that hasn’t had non-giant visitors in a long time…sell human-sized rings at a monthly market?

I love Ruby the main character and the growth she’s going through. I left off during the battle with one of the ice champions. I really hope she wins and can take down the ice king!
