i am in genuine shock over the actual plot of this book. i started reading this without having seen the prognosis not realizing that KELLAN DIES??? AND THE LOVE INTEREST IS HIS BROTHER WTF

its either a master plan from Jacqueline and Simon to get her inheritance and get back together, live happily ever after or this man they are talking about

this didnt hit as much as i wanted it to, but reading this was really easy and i appreciate how it gave me back that familiar feeling of being able to want to read something and not put it down after a long enough reading slump

i hate the miscommunication trope so much and her running after him like a lost puppy acting hurt when he’s not trusting her while simultaneously not clearing anything up is fucking stupid

the witness for persecution: oh I didnt realize the book was a collection of small stories ahahha, nevertheless i love the writing so much. cool idea for a story
