The writing is built on the act of noticing. Noticing small things and writing them to sound beautiful. The problem is: that’s the whole damn book, it feels like. There’s no emotion, and thats how the character is (it is stated) but it’s just strange how one lets life toss them around.

Leigh Bardugo’s writing is really really good but six of crows is just not my style.

Chapter one was horrible. Nearly gave up on the book. But I’m glad I kept reading.
