I just started and I’m holding back tears, it’s such a hard book to read.

my growth evolution is so amazing that i am certain if i reread some books i have rated highly on here in the past i would cringe at what i supported and thought was normal but is very problematic and oppressive.

So far so good, the writing is lyrical, but sometimes I'm like uhm wow so so descriptive!

I keep convincing myself not to put this book aside.

Now the people automatically hating the book are the ones who will see someone complaining about a really problematic book and go ahead and give it a 5 stars because what the heck. I hate people rating a book they haven’t read, and I also rather read a book before airing my opinion, when I want to read a book, no ones opinion sways me.

I read the 1star review & to me it’s like the writer of the review is trying to find a big issues when it isn’t the case, let’s not forget this story is about the dysfunctional Voss family, people tend to be hardest on their families. I didn’t know books have to end with the characters being wholesome? Change doesn’t happen over a day, week or month. But it’s clear the family wants to be better.

I have something to get off my chest. I’m so mad. I just mistakenly stumbled on a 1 star review of Without Merit with 461 likes right now and how under the comments people who haven’t read the book are thinking the book is such a terrible let down. It is not. The writing is awesome, this book isn’t problematic at all and CoHo did a wonderful job.

I'm in love, I haven't laughed so hard in ages because of a book. I'm so glad this book is turning out be be everything I expected!
